randy macdonald - drums/vocals

Randy has been playing drums for the past 26 years now. He has become one of the busiest players in the east coast. He was primarily self taught up until 1993 where he studied under St. FX University percussion professor Terry O'Mahony. He left his studies with Terry when he started touring with the celtic rock band MacKeel, a hugely popular band he was a founding member of. In 1998 the band signed with A&M/Universal music Canada and continued touring , enjoying critical acclaim all over Canada and the US. In 1999 the band disbanded and Randy began his freelance carreer playing and recording with artists such as Seven Nations, Dave Gunning, Kilt, J.P. Cormier, Rant, Steve Bowers, etc. Just to name a few. His influences include a wide range of styles from folk to funk and everything in between...playing all styles of contemporary music is what keeps him in demand, and now with Soul Kitchen....he is getting scratched, exactly where he itches!
